Volunteers will also be working directly with organizations focused on important conservation projects to protect the hawksbill and leatherback turtle population as well as the local caiman and crocodile populations. After 8 days of volunteering, we will travel to remote islands in the Caribbean for a week of scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, and building relationships with the local community. Snorkeling and scuba diving off these islands is some of the best in the world, with a diverse ecosystem of fish, coral reefs, and mammalian wildlife. In addition, volunteers will have the opportunity to read with and teach the local children on the island.
