Greetings Agvisors team:

To ensure we are all updated on changes within CALES at minimum, program updates will be forwarded to you all. It may be duplicate to some, but new to others.  Thank you for helping ensure accurate and consistent advising and or referrals for our students.

This memo below  to share formal notification of the approval of five new emphases for the Bachelor of Science in Microbiology within CALES. Advising will remain as is within ACBS.
The approved emphases are:

  *   Emerging Infectious Disease and Medical Microbiology
  *   Environmental Microbiology
  *   Food Safety and Microbiology
  *   General Microbiology
  *   Plant Pathology and Microbiology

The first admit term is Fall 2026.

This memorandum serves as formal notification and official record for approval to establish five new emphases for the Bachelor of Science in Microbiology within the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences: 1) Emerging Infectious Disease and Medical Microbiology; 2) Environmental Microbiology; 3) Food Safety and Microbiology; 4) General Microbiology; and 5) Plant Pathology and Microbiology. First admit term is Fall 2026.

By copy of this memo, I am requesting that appropriate changes be made to systems, records, and publications to reflect the modification of the program.
