[Agvisors] Welcome CALES Academic Advisors in the School of Human Ecology, Alejandra Encinas Garcia and Julian Cavell

Greetings CALES Agvisors and CAS colleagues:

Starting the month with great news! I am excited to share that we are welcoming two new colleagues to the CALES advising team in the Norton School of Human Ecology (HECL) - Julian Cavell and Alejandra Encinas Garcia.

Julian, Academic Advisor II, will be advising continuing students in Fashion Industry's Science & Technology majors and minors. Alejandra Encinas Garcia, Academic Advisor I, will be the first-year Advisor for all HECL majors. Both will start in their new roles on December 8, 2025.

Julian is a UA CALES alum with advising experience from the University of Arizona.  Alejandra is a UA alum with student support experience from Pima Community College.  Both bring firsthand experiences and knowledge working with diverse student groups and share a strong commitment to student success.

You will all have the opportunity to meet them as soon as next week. Both will have office spaces at McClelland Park, and Alejandra will also have an office space at Forbes 203.  Please help me extend a warm congratulatory CALES welcome to Alejandra and Julian!
