Hello, Agvisors:

In this email you’ll find an overview of the CALES Fall Graduation Convocation processes so you can assist graduating students this semester! Thank you in advance for reading this lengthy email.

Overview of CALES Graduation Celebrations:
CALES Student Sendoff
Thursday, December 19
11:30 am – 1 pm | Bear Down Gym Floor
Optional event where students can jumpstart the graduation celebration!
Students (and guests) will enjoy a meal & well wishes from CALES
All students graduating in CALES are welcome (ugrad & grad)
RSVP required; no regalia required

CALES Graduation Convocation (all degree levels)
Friday, December 20
9 – 11 am | Centennial Hall
Optional event where students get their name called and move across the graduation stage
Tickets required for all guests (10 tickets allotted per student)
RSVP required for students (students will RSVP on behalf of their guests)
Regalia required to participate

RSVP Information:
RSVPs are required for both Student Sendoff and Graduation Convocation. There are two separate RSVP forms (students can attend one, both, or neither of these events!)

RSVP forms will be open starting Monday, October 14 through Sunday, December 1 at 11:59 pm (AZ time).

Ticket Information:
Centennial Hall requires tickets for all guests (not graduating students). Students are responsible for accurately reporting the number of guests they will have in attendance and collecting said amount of tickets prior to the ceremony. We begin with 10 tickets per student. Students will report this information when they RSVP.

Ticket distribution will occur in December. No tickets are required for Senior Sendoff.

Request to Participate:
Students from all campuses - Main, Arizona Online, and Distance - who are scheduled to graduate in either Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 semester/term are automatically invited to the CALES Graduation Convocation. Students scheduled to graduating outside of the previously listed semesters need to adhere to the below:

What if students graduating/did graduate in a different semester and want to walk this December? Students must complete the Request to Participate form by Sunday, December 1 to ensure their name appears in the program and we have their information. This information & form is on the website.

Student Communications:
All students who are eligible to graduate (plus, the ones who complete the Request to Participate form), will be added onto the special edition Graduation Newsletter. This newsletter will be sent multiple times prior to our celebrations with information about RSVPs, event expectations, and need-to-knows.

Staff Volunteer Information:
We need your support to make graduation celebrations a success! We kindly ask that at least one representative is present from your unit to assist on graduation day. Please sign-up to volunteer by Sunday, December 1 at 11:59 pm.<https://forms.office.com/r/xvPwyJjAHq>

Student Speakers:
We are in search of student speakers! Do you know a spectacular student who wants to share their story at these milestone events? Encourage them to apply through the website under “Student Graduation Speech Opportunity”
