[Agvisors] Attention all CALES Certificate program advisors

Greetings Advising team:

Hope this message finds you well!  Reaching out to inquire if any of you have Certificates that were approved prior to the implementation of the 50% unique coursework rule. For example, the SNRE has three certificates approved before 2019, all of which allowed full double-dipping. As of May 2024, the policy was updated, and now all certificates require a minimum of 50% unique units.  Katie Hughes has been working with the Registrar to have the full double-dipping honored for those declared prior to the policy change update. Due to her advocacy this will be honored, but we are in a time sensitive situation and need your help to assure other students do miss out on this opportunity.  High-five and thanks to Katie!

If you have certificates that were approved before this change and allowed full double-dipping, please upload the information on the document found in this Box link<https://arizona.box.com/s/j673ois9woqi5fsq7akhh8fvordud823> (CARRS folder – Certificates and Minors – Certificates – UGRD Certificated declared prior to May 2024.xlsx) and let Katie Hughes (khughes at arizona.edu<mailto:khughes at arizona.edu>) and me (nancyr at arizona.edu<mailto:nancyr at arizona.edu>) know when completed at your earliest convenience, but no later than Monday December 2, 2024 at 4pm. We are still able to honor the double-dipping allowance for students who added their certificates before the end of Spring 2024, when the policy changed.

To ensure we notify the registrar accurately, kindly upload the list of students, including the relevant details, so we can forward the information to the registrar.
