Subject: New CBC Enrollment Procedures

Good morning, all!

I’m emailing you as advisors of students who often need Chemistry & Biochemistry courses and may not always be able to enroll themselves. This is an effort to streamline both our enrollment and PERC processes. CBC TSO will share the below link with students, as well, and all questions can be directed to cbc-advising at distribution.arizona.edu<mailto:cbc-advising at distribution.arizona.edu> or you can Direct Message me on Teams if a question comes up that you cannot answer.

  *   If they want us to waive a pre-requisite in Gen Chem or O Chem: the answer is generally no.
  *   If they have documentation showing pre-requisites taken or in progress that have not posted to their accounts or are not being recognized by UAccess (including test scores, unofficial transcripts, etc), please send them to this page: https://cbc.arizona.edu/sites/default/files/2024-02/Undergrad_Class_Enrollment_Policies.pdf which has all of our policies, deadlines, and a link to the form. You can also read all policies there, so you can best advise your students!
     *   Students will need to wait to complete this form until Shopping Carts open on March 1st.
     *   Can also be used for non-majors who would like to take our major's classes and have all pre-reqs (but those students will not be enrolled until Open Enrollment begins). They just need to designate that info on the form under the missing pre-req question.
  *   AZOnline Advisors: This form is also for all AZOnline CBC classes except online BIOC 384/385. That form remains the same as previous years.

I'm hopeful that the policies I've outlined on the webpage linked above will pretty much answer most or all student questions, but if you have any questions or any situations you know of that may have slipped my mind, please let me know!
