Here are helpful details regarding Dean’s List and Academic Distinction for you all to know.

  *   Students have received an email regarding their achievement of Dean’s List as of this morning (09.18)
  *   NEW THIS YEAR: all students who earned Dean’s List (three levels) are eligible for a new, exclusive memento: a pin! We will not be printing certificates anymore. We feel as though this pin is a higher impact memento students can and should wear proudly at graduation!
     *   We will not be giving pins retroactively for past Dean’s List achievements.
  *   Students are encouraged to come into the Forbes Building, room 204 (Student Affairs) to collect their pin. These details are embedded into the email they received.
  *   All Online & Distance students will be mailed their pin.

  *   Honors Convocation is a ceremony to honor students who have achieved Academic Distinction with a cord they can collect and wear at graduation.

2023 CALES Honors Convocation Event Details
Saturday, September 30, 2023
Environment and Natural Resources 2 Building (ENR2)
Reception begins at 9:30 a.m.
Ceremony begins at 10 a.m.


  *   Eligible students were invited via email last week. They will receive another reminder this week.
  *   Students can bring an unlimited number of guests; they must RSVP<https://events.trellis.arizona.edu/en/f44lNu67/cales-2023-honors-convocation-5a3U3nIwLMY/overview> for themselves and their guests.
  *   We’re introducing a small reception to the beginning of the program and will have a photographer.
  *   All Online & Distance students will be mailed their cord. All Main Campus students who don’t attend the ceremony will be communicated to with instructions on where they can get their cord post-event.

Please feel free to send students who have questions to me. I am happy to help them understand the nuances between these two honors and field event questions.
