Hi AAC!

Many of you have already seen the new Academic Catalog<https://catalog.arizona.edu/> that debuted on this morning; if you haven’t yet, please take some time soon to take a look and become familiar with the new layout! The updated format for academic programs includes a user-friendly, mobile-responsive view of Program Requirements – this will be helpful for students and parents who often view catalog information on their phones.

We know that many people will need to continue referencing the pdf versions of Advisement Reports.  Our long-term goal is to make these pdfs available as a tile directly within UAccess based on advisors’ current access/roles in the system; this way advisors will maintain access to this valuable resource, while keeping the mobile-responsive format for all public display. As always, when working with continuing students, the best reference will be the individual student’s Advisement Report in UAccess which includes their current progress and requirements for all major and minor plans they are working toward.

While we work on that long-term goal, you can continue to access the 2023-24 pdf Advisement Reports in the repository here<https://uaccess.schedule.arizona.edu/psc/pubsaprd_1/UA_ADV_HIST_CATALOG/HRMS/c/UA_AA011B_PUBLIC.UA_AA011B_CATALOG.GBL?Page=UA_AA011A_CATALOG&Action=U&STRM=2234>. This resource should only be used internally by university employees as the official public and student facing resource is the catalog.

Once the permanent tile in UAccess is made available, we will announce that to the advising community and the temporary repository link will be decommissioned.

The Schedule of Classes goes-live this Sunday, October 1st with the ability for students to utilize their Shopping Carts to assist with registration for the upcoming terms.

Additionally, today is the go-live for the new comprehensive University Catalog<https://catalog.arizona.edu/>! Special thanks to our partners in Curricular Affairs, the Graduate College, UITS, and many others for their collaboration in making this dream a reality.  A snippet from the notice to students: The redesigned University of Arizona Catalog<https://catalog.arizona.edu/> is now available and mobile friendly. This new catalog format brings together the undergraduate, graduate, and professional academic policies, program descriptions and degree requirements, with the complete inventories of courses in a searchable format.
