I want to share this information with you. This is helpful if you are receiving any questions from current students regarding Guaranteed Tuition and concerns regarding their scholarships.

Dear Team,

Below is an approved message crafted for OSFA to use given the media attention around cuts. You may use this language for your own replies (or as talking points) by making a few edits.

We are not planning to send out a mass email at this time. As we monitor inquiries, that could change.

For future students, know that we will do our very best to post scholarship information before the application for admission goes live in July/August 2024 for fall 2025. As you know, award levels can change year to year anyway. Also, there is NO changes for Guaranteed Tuition for fall 2024. If there are changes in the future, it will not affect current students. We did not add this to the message to keep it focused on scholarships and financial aid, but you can share this information.

Thank you for contacting the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid (OSFA). We appreciate you sharing your concerns about your scholarships and/or financial aid offer for future academic years.

We are committed to serving you. There are no plans to alter the institutional merit tuition scholarships<https://financialaid.arizona.edu/types-of-aid/scholarships/incoming-first-year-transfer> awarded to our current students or for our incoming Wildcats admitted for fall 2024. In addition, other institutional need-based aid will not be affected for current or admitted students.

No decisions have been made regarding future changes to the amount of merit tuition scholarships the university provides. If there are changes to merit tuition scholarships, those would be for future classes and would not affect current or admitted students.

Please keep in mind the federal government’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is getting an update for 2024-25. Some students may see changes in the amounts and types of federal financial aid offered due to changes in the calculation used to award various types of federal financial aid. The 2024-25 FAFSA will open by December 31 as shared by the Department of Education. We encourage current students to submit it by our priority filing date of March 1 (April 1 for new students).
