Please note Graduation Services update notification from Kara Owens below. Congratulations Kara! Sherrie, we look forward to working with you!

Summary:
Who – CALS Graduation Services Advisor update -> Sherrie Svedberg (svedberg at arizona.edu<mailto:svedberg at arizona.edu>) will cover for Kara Owen’s (while on temp leave)
When – May 29 through end of August (exact date to be determined)
What – please direct all DAWs, questions, and requests to Sherrie via svedberg at arizona.edu<mailto:svedberg at arizona.edu>

  *   gradservices at arizona.edu<mailto:gradservices at arizona.edu> will still be an appropriate place to send students
How can we support in the interim - advisors' can help to expeditiously close out our Spring 2023 class so that the transition to Sherrie can be as smooth as possible.

  *   Friendly reminder: all DAWs should have a note addressing how student plans to complete requirements not addressed as “satisfied” on the ADVIP (i.e. Foundation Math – to be transferred from Pima CC after Spring 2023; Second Language – 2nd Semester Proficiency to be met with CLEP test credits. College board transcript pending to be sent to UA. Student will follow through with request.)

A note on this temporary update will be entered on the DAW processing guide found in D2L Agvisors playspace.

Good afternoon, advising managers!

I hope you're having a great end of the semester!

I am reaching out to notify you that I will be on maternity leave this summer, beginning May 29th. In my absence, Sherrie Svedberg, Graduation Services Manager, will temporarily be taking over my colleges. Starting May 29th, please direct all DAWs, questions, and requests to Sherrie via svedberg at arizona.edu<mailto:svedberg at arizona.edu>. Please also notify your advisors and students to do the same. And, as always, gradservices at arizona.edu<mailto:gradservices at arizona.edu> will still be an appropriate place to send students. We will be sure to notify you of the exact date of my return (end of August) when the time comes closer.

As the end of the semester draws near, and as Spring 2023 conferral is fast approaching, I will appreciate your and your advisors' help to expeditiously close out our Spring 2023 class so that the transition to Sherrie can be as smooth as possible.
