[Agvisors] EXTENDED: CALS Ambassadors Application

Hello Agvisors,

I hope this email finds you all well. Due to the low number of applications, we received for the CALS Ambassadors. We are extending our application deadline to Monday, March 27 by 11:59pm (Arizona time). Please share with your students.

The CALS Ambassadors are one of three leadership programs in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Members develop an enhanced sense of professional self-efficacy through competency-based learning focused on leadership, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills. While the application process is competitive, successful applicants will become student leaders in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will receive a 100% Engagement notation, and, upon graduation, will be welcomed into the robust network of CALS Ambassador Alumni. Ambassadors who meet the hour requirement within the year will receive a stipend of $250. Our goal is to have at least two students from every major offered in CALS represented in the Ambassador Program.

CALS Ambassadors support the recruitment efforts of the college by interacting with perspective students and their families. This ranges from high school visits, serving on student panels for perspective students and supporting larger events such as Admitted Students Day.

NEW! This year applicants must obtain a letter of recommendation from an Academic Advisor, CALS Faculty member or CALS Support staff who can speak to the students experience in CALS. Applicants will identify their recommender in the application, and I will email the recommender the instructions to submit their letter of recommendation.
