Hello Agvisors,

Happy Friday! I want to send some Orientation reminders for the team. The information below is for both First Year and Transfer Orientations. The below information was also shared at our 10/31 and 11/14 Agvisor Meetings.

  *   Academic Unit Meeting time is now 9 – 10am on Orientation schedule days.
     *   Maria will be sending Attendance Lists out around 9:30am.
        *   Students highlighted in green attend our session. Schedule their meetings with yourself for that day.
        *   Students highlighted in yellow were late or connected with CAS Advising and can still meet with an Academic Advisor day of Orientation.
        *   Students highlighted in red are a No Show and will need to reschedule their Orientation in Next Steps Center.
           *   Only schedule Advising Appointments with the students who attend the Academic Unit Meeting with CAS.
  *   Schedule Review
     *   Advisors can start meeting with students as early as 11am on Orientation days.
        *   Honors Students: please do not schedule appointments for them in-between 11am – 12pm. They must attend a mandatory Honors College Meeting from 11am – 12pm.
           *   Honors Students will have honors next to their name on our attendance lists.
     *   Please schedule your meetings or have your groups emails sent to students by 9:55am.
        *   As we end at 10am and confirm with the students before they sign off from the Zoom, they have their Advising related email.
  *   No Shows
     *   CAS is sending emails and text messages to students around 9:15am who are not signed onto the Academic Unit Meeting asking them to sign on if they can or let us know if they cannot attend.
     *   Nancy or Serena will report No Shows to the Orientation team.
        *   The sooner we let them know the sooner the student may sign up for another orientation session.
     *   Pre-Scheduled Classes will be dropped. (First-Year Student Only)
        *   Prescheduled classes will be dropped when the student is coded as a No Show.

Note: Do not share these dates with students. Direct students to the Next Steps Center to register. Students have various factors that will allow them to see which sessions they can sign up for. *STU 210 college meetings are in-person. All other dates are virtual sessions.
