Greetings Everyone!

I hope that you all are having a wonderful week thus far and have had an easy start of school. On one hand we are gearing down from the 2023 season and on the other hand, we're gearing up for 2024! Students are able to begin submitting their applications for Fall 2024 now and are even receiving decisions, which means that we're already seeing students working their way through Next Steps Center, paying the Enrollment Fee and searching for compatible orientation dates. With all of this in mind, we wanted to share some updates, reminders, etc.

Enrollment Fee
While the amounts will remain the same for Fall 2024 [$450 for FY and $175 for TR 😉], with new changes to the FAFSA, we are adjusting the Enrollment Fee deferral process. For this year, only federal Pell Grant eligible students will be considered for an Enrollment Fee deferral. Students will complete the same process as prior years to submit the request. As a reminder, students can select "Defer the Enrollment Fee" and when they do, they will see the message below before continuing forward.

Next Steps Center

The Cycle 24 Next Steps Center (NSC) is still following the same pattern / unlocking order as the previous cycle. That is, students will first need to complete the tasks/sections in the Path to Enrollment tile and that will unlock additional tiles in their NSC (ex Orientation, More Required Items, Resources, etc). The biggest change for the Path to Enrollment tile will be the Housing section. Housing will no longer display the different statuses of a student's housing application payment -- instead, it will be informational-only and direct students to MyUAHome portal for any kind of status update regarding Housing.

Orientation
We will be opening the first segment of orientation dates<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jChtqcEAu1alm_oLM7P9mphAzHSN0lCSGRA85B6xt_Q/edit#gid=0> on Friday, September 1st. On Friday, all students who have paid (or interacted with) the Enrollment Fee will be eligible to sign up for their orientation date. If a student meets those requirements, but isn't able to see a session, please let us know. This week, we will be sending out a Campus Partner survey regarding our Orientation programs. Please take time to complete this survey as you're able as we are currently reviewing our orientation format and anticipate making changes for Summer/Fall 2024.
