[Agvisors] Grief Education Training Opportunity

Hi Agvisors,

Our Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Norton School is organizing a training on November 18th that all CALS advisors are welcome to attend if you have the time. See information below!

Tu Nidito provides no-cost support services to children and young adults who are grieving a loss. One of the facets of their work includes training educators, clinicians, and others in how to be supportive of those who are grieving. They are putting together a customized training focused on traditional college-age students that we primarily serve on campus. This free training is not meant to suggest you become grief counselors for students, but that you understand more about the grief process and learn how to interact with those who are grieving in a supportive way.

The one-hour training will be available to anyone, including those from outside the School. It will be held on Friday, November 18 from 12:00-1:00 PM in McClelland Park 210 or via Zoom for those who want to attend virtually. More information is included in the flyer below. Please RSVP so we can get an accurate count for in-person and Zoom attendance. If you RSVP to attend on Zoom, you will be sent the meeting link for the training afterward.
