Below are updates regarding the new GE and AP test credits.  As of now it's my understanding that I'll be receiving the list of CALS students with AP credits. Once received it will be shared with all.

TABLES
The tables associated with the credit exam policies are visualizations of agreements within the catalog. The tables are meant to provide consistency and structure. The tables can also provide guidance on recommended substitutions where applicable.

AP HISTORY CREDIT
When a student receives credit for AP European, U.S., or World History, the student will receive 6 units total of History Elective Credit for each AP exam, which is broken out into two UA unique courses each worth 3 units. This is so that the credit can be used to satisfy multiple requirements, previously Tiers and now EP Humanist and EP Social Scientist, if those requirements are still needing to be met.

In regards to AP World History, the language of the catalog needs to be updated so that it reflects the catalog policy: We articulate AP World History just like the other two AP History exams. Traditionally, all three of these AP exams have satisfied multiple curricular areas.

BUILDING CONNECTIONS
For the current catalog, the following policy interpretations should inform exam credit decisions:

  *   If a student has a 4 or 5 in an AP U.S., European, or World History, then one BC course can be satisfied / waived.
  *   No more than one BC course may be satisfied with AP History exams.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN ADVISED
We recognize that many of you have already advised students. The Office of Transfer Credit & Articulation will be pulling a list of all incoming Freshmen with AP History credit. Though this list will not reveal whether these students have been advised or not, the list will filter students by College and Major to aid in outreach efforts.
