Awesome, Bridget, thanks for sharing this update. Looking at it briefly so far, it looks fantastic! Among the fab info on the site overall, I am also thankful that students can access the appointment link for you and Valeria from the site too-super helpful 🙂
Please let us know when we can share the link with our students to start perusing.
I think a lunch and learn sort of event would be helpful for us, I know I would greatly appreciate seeing from you and/or Valeria all the "bells and whistles" of this new resource. Accessible in Zoom too, if offered in person. If others can't do a lunchtime sess, maybe you and I can arrange time together? Thanks to all that helped make this resource a reality.
Thank You!
This gif makes me LOL, Saved by the Bell (a funny/silly sitcom show in the 90s for those that haven't heard about it).

Subject: [Agvisors] We have a virtual career center!
Hello Advisors,
I know some of you are aware that the CALS Career Center has been working for a few months on getting a new virtual career center up and running. Well, this morning, I got a pleasant surprise when I learned it is now live. You can find the virtual career center here: https://career.cals.arizona.edu/
We have not yet announced to students that the site is live as we are coordinating with marketing on materials to make the announcement and we are hoping a few technical difficulties can be resolved in a few days to have some of our data available. However, there is a lot of information already there and I wanted you to be aware of it before the students were.
I know many of you have been hoping for more visibility on available internships and full-time opportunities and - great news! - job and internship feeds are being pulled directly from Handshake into the virtual career center. In addition, we are pulling career-related events, from across campus, into the events calendar so everyone can be more aware of opportunities and resources to support student career development.
I hope that you find it to be a big value-add to the work you do daily with students and that it will serve as a valuable resource to enhance your conversations with students about their post-degree options. We will continually add new information and resources to the virtual career center and if you have any suggestions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to send those my way.
I think this is also an incredibly valuable resource to enhance collaboration between the career center and academic units. If you have any career-related events, resources, etc. that you would like Ike support in promoting I would love to connect on how we can support those efforts as well. There is a lot of potential here and I am excited to see how it continues to evolve.
I would love to connect with you to talk about the virtual career center and how you can use it as a resource to have conversations with your students (and faculty) about career opportunities and career development. I am happy to do this as a large group, small groups, or 1:1 and in-person or via Zoom. Just reach out and let me know your preferences and we will get time on our calendars.
I look forward to connecting soon!
With gratitude,
Bridget
