[Agvisors] IMPORTANT Action required Freshman Orientation

Hello Agvisors,

CAS advisors are working out the best way to organize freshman orientation. We discussed at the retreat the different ways you all meet with your students. Typically the excel sheet we use for appointment times is only done during transfer orientation, but we are sending this out for our first freshman orientation as well. After we have our first freshman orientation, we hope to gather your feedback so we know how to proceed with future orientations and how to best utilize eSMS. Attached is the orientation roster that Maria sent out yesterday so you know who your students are.

Please update the sheet with your availability and indicate whether you will be meeting with students for individual or group appointments?  Also, please include your zoom link so that we have that information handy. Where the X is next to the zoom link please paste your zoom link there. Feel free to change the appointment times to indicate what time you want to meet with your students. For those of  you who would like for CAS to schedule your eSMS individual appointments, you can indicate that information next to either group or individual advising. We ask that you have off book appointment times on your eSMS calendar as it makes it much easier for us to schedule appointments for you. Even if you do not currently have any students scheduled for this orientation, we are asking that you still update the excel sheet. Here is an example of what we are looking for:

For group appointments, CAS will be sending out an email to each student during the college meeting with your group zoom link. For eSMS individual appointments, when they are scheduled, eSMS will send out the email with your link. Some of you at our last transfer orientation did both group and individual appointments and asked CAS to send out the group email and book individual appointments for you. If that is something you would like for us to do, please indicate that on the excel sheet as well.

We want to do our best to accommodate advisors and  with each advisor having a different protocol, it helps to have all the information in one place.
