I am sharing a new summary: Student Academic Technologies and Course Materials - Insights from the Student Basic Needs Survey (March, 2021)<https://arizona.box.com/s/m7dymkzh4uyrm7g79n1ykhk7p2ms8msm>.  I expect future communication will include a more in depth analysis and interpretation, but I am forwarding out information that is more timely to not delay any potential actions.

Survey Background:
As you helped developed, a Student Basic Needs Survey was conducted February 24 to March 10 to all Main campus enrolled students as part of an ABOR Task Force on Food Insecurity and Housing. The University of Arizona survey included a module on access to essential course materials and technology that supported or inhibited their course academic achievement. The additional questions were a follow up from the September 2020 Student Online/Remote Classroom Experience & Learning Survey <https://live-uas-assessmentresearch.pantheonsite.io/sites/default/files/UA%20Student%20Online%20Classroom%20Experience%20and%20Learning%20-%20Week%203%20Survey%20Summary%20%281%29%20%283%29.pdf> and the Student Technology/Software Needs Summary<https://live-uas-assessmentresearch.pantheonsite.io/sites/default/files/UA%20Student%20Technology-Software%20Needs.pdf> which indicated two out of ten (22%) of students reported a lack of access to appropriate technology/software as a barrier to their online/remote learning. This summary seeks to further clarify these barriers. If there is a need for more granular information, de-identified open-ended response can be made available upon request.
