Dear Advisors,

The message below was sent to students on Wednesday via Handshake. I would appreciate you sharing via your channels as well. Students are already excited and signing up and we want to ensure that all students get word about this opportunity. Please note that students must be undergraduate majors in CALS and ages 21-45 based on membership rules for TYP. Please let me know if you or your students have any questions.

With gratitude,
Bridget

Tucson Young Professionals Membership for Eligible Undergraduate CALS Majors

We are excited to share with you that we have worked with Tucson Young Professionals (TYP) to provide undergraduate CALS majors ages 21-45 with a free annual professional membership to TYP! This is an exclusive opt-in opportunity, for the first 500 CALS undergraduate majors who register. Tucson Young Professionals is one of Arizona's largest young professional networks, providing opportunities for connection, growth and advocacy.

We believe this will be a valuable asset to your experience here at the University and in CALS, for connecting to the Tucson community and fellow emerging professionals, receiving professional development resources, and finding mentors, job opportunities, and more!

Here are a few benefits that come with your membership:

  * Monthly TYP mixers at no cost, including free food and refreshments (post-COVID)!
  * Free VIP admission to monthly CEO Roundtables, intimate gatherings with top CEOs and executives to learn about their career paths and learn more about opportunities in Tucson.
  * Leadership opportunities to serve on a TYP committee, team, and/or Board of Directors to shape engagement and initiatives around advocacy, arts and culture, philanthropy, DEI, and much more!
  * Priority purchase of discounted tickets to TYP events like our annual professional development conference ignite520!, TYP @ Eller MBA, Annual Golf Scramble, etc.
  * Access to mentorship from top leaders and special member perks to participating restaurants, retail, leadership programs, and more.
  * A monthly newsletter keeping Young Professionals in the loop on events, community news, and people making a difference; a member directory to connect with like-minded professionals.
  * Direct access and engagement with our community’s top business and civic leaders to help shape the initiatives and policies that will make Tucson a better place to live and work.

You can learn more about the benefits of TYP in a discussion with the Executive Director of TYP and the CALS Career Center on the CALS LinkedIn<https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6778362889624518656> page.
