Hello colleagues. University communicators are at work to coordinate sharing of specific guidelines for the University's plan to comply with the new Arizona Governor's new executive order<https://azgovernor.gov/governor/news/2021/06/governor-ducey-issues-executive-order-protect-access-arizona-public>. When there is specific guidance available that pertains to students and sites engaged in internships or other practical training contexts, I will share it to this list.



In the meantime, it may be helpful to note:



The executive order specifically addresses practical training only in mentioning that students engaged in healthcare institutions may be required by the facility to show proof of vaccinations and/or be subject to testing.



If as an instructor you usually expect interns engaging with host organizations to respect all host site guidelines for their work on site, this will include observing their guidance for employees' and guests' use of masks and other precautions.



In the meantime, if you need support in answering questions from students and stakeholders accurately, please do not hesitate to reach out to the communicators on staff within your College.
