The Experiential Learning Design Accelerator (The Accelerator) builds on the vision of 100% Engagement by directly supporting faculty with dedicated time, space, and community to design courses that integrate community-based experiential learning for undergraduate students.

The Career Champions<https://career.arizona.edu/faculty-staff/career-champions> program provides opportunities for faculty and staff members to better understand the career development resources and support available on-campus and through SECD.

Faculty and staff who complete this series of 3 trainings receive a certificate of completion, are listed on SECD’s website, and will also receive a placard to display to help students identify them as a faculty or staff member who is equipped to assist them with their career decision making.  This is the suggested sequence:

SBS311: Design Your Life: This 1-credit course is for all majors and will revolutionize how you approach your life at college and beyond. Using design thinking, you will explore your life and career opportunities, then develop a plan for skill-building experiences that will allow you to test your ideas. SBS411: Design Your Search: Do you need a 1-credit course AND are in an active search for a job or internship, or want to be as prepared as possible? Take advantage of this 1-credit course: Fall Session II SBS 411, Design Your Search. In this course, you'll design a personal plan for searching for a job or internship. Gain knowledge about timelines, resources, and expectations of a successful search and reflect on how your personal skills have value in your desired career path.
