Subject: 2021 Online UA Veteran Alliance Training

Good morning,

In the past, you have expressed interest in our UA Veteran Alliance Training.  I am happy to report we have scheduled our first hybrid Zoom/d2l course.


  *   On 9/10

     *   We’ll start about 10:30am with the first session (Zoom).  It will be about 90 minutes or so…depending on discussion.
     *   We’ll break for a few minutes and give everyone chance to get their “brown bag” lunch…..then rejoin the Zoom meeting.
     *   At 12:15pm, we will start the Student Panel portion of the training.  We will have a few of our military connected students describe their experiences in transitioning to the university and then be available for questions from participants.
     *   Following that, we will be done with the live portion.  In the D2L course, there will be a video and other “homework” items for the participants to complete.  We’ll give the participants a couple of weeks to work through those things on their own.   Those that complete all items by 9/24 will “graduate” 😊 and receive their VET Ally placard.
