Hello Everyone,

Happy Monday! I wanted to provide a few more updates related to deferment for students who were admitted for fall 2020 and deferred to spring 2021 or summer/fall 2021.


  *   Domestic students who deferred their admission received a new physical admit letter and an updated digital letter in Future Wildcat. A snippet from the admissions letter with the language related to deferment is below.
  *   We will be monitoring students through the National Clearinghouse to make sure that they didn't attend another institution during their deferment period.
     *   If a first year student did attend another institution we will remove their merit aid and notify them that they are no longer eligible for their merit award
     *   If a transfer student attended a university we will remove their merit aid and notify them that they are no longer eligible for their merit award.
     *   For either case above however,  we will retain their admission - they will not need to apply again if they attended another institution.
     *   Students should submit transcripts from any institution they attended during their deferment period in order for coursework to articulate and transfer
  *   If a student doesn't enroll for the term which they deferred and decides to attend in a future term they will have to apply again.
