[Agvisors] FW: Pass/Fail/W announcement

Greetings Agvisors:

Below is information on Pass/Fail and extension of course withdrawal deadline for Fall 2020.

In summary:

  *   Pass/Fail policy will remain as is, unlike the Spring 2020 revision. Memo about this decision is on the Provost site (link in message below)
  *   The withdrawal deadline for Fall 2020 classes has been extended from 11/1 to now 11/25/20.
     *   Administrative Withdrawal deadline will also be extended to 11/25 to be in alignment with the student initiated withdrawal deadline above.
  *   In addition, withdrawals will not apply towards 18 unit limit policy for the Academic Year 2020-21 (Fall 2020, Spring and Summer 2021). This will also allow students who already reached 18 W units to be eligible to withdraw from classes this AY 2020-21.

UAccess Student Center will be updated this week (no specific date provided yet) for students to initiate course withdrawals there through 11/25. If a student has already submitted an online change of schedule form associated with the late change petition between 11/2 through 11/9, there is no need for them to resubmit the withdrawal request. Those will be approved and students can check the status of their submission by referring to the online change of schedule form login page.

Students are still encouraged to consult with their advisors to make an informed decision prior to withdrawing from a course.  CAS advising team is also available to assist.

The Administrative Withdraw will also be updated with the change to UAccess to allow student initiated withdrawal - which is happening this morning.
