[Agvisors] Bursar Hold List

From the outreach that some of our student workers are doing, we have seen a few that have indicated they haven’t enrolled because of a bursars hold but they don’t right now. I will send out a list of students who have not yet enrolled and have this temporary hold lifted so that you can do some pointed outreach.

Greetings Agvisors,

Attached is the updated list of students who still have their Bursars hold temporarily removed.  These are students with balances of $2500 or less.  We have yet to learn when the hold will be placed back on students accounts, but will share once we obtain this information.

The report doesn’t include much information, but can be used alongside the reports Danielle sends.  Please let Danielle or I know if you have any questions.

I’ve updated enrollment for this group of students so that folks can see summer and/or fall enrolled units. Because the original email was a bcc, I can’t reply all and send it, can you please send it to the group who received it the first time?

Dear UAAC:

This message containing personal student information (attached) is being sent individually to college directors as opposed to the UAAC list which has student members.

We learned yesterday the Bursar hold has been elevated to $2500.  Thanks to Laura Ulrich for bringing forward the suggestion to increase the threshold, and thanks to Jen Ludwig for working with the Bursar’s Office and providing the list of students impacted by this change.  The Registrar’s Office sent the communication below letting students know of the change.  Advisors may want to reach out to students who may have missed the communication.

This is the message that went to them from Bursar for reference:

Dear XXXXX,

    University of Arizona records indicate your account has an unpaid balance. Due to the extraordinary situation we are all facing, the unpaid balance threshold to allow registration has been increased to $2,500.00 for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020. You will be able to register during your upcoming priority period and no registration hold has been placed on your account at this time.

    This temporary increase in the threshold to allow for registration does not reduce your owed balance but provides you a mechanism to continue your enrollment during your priority period and the flexibility in selecting your future classes.

    You may check your balance on UAccess (http://www.uaccess.arizona.edu/).

    For your convenience, UAccess accepts online payments.
