Yes the P/F option will satisfy the foreign language requirement as long as they Pass and this is true for the Spring 2020 semester only.

Hi Nichole,

I apologize for adding to your inbox of inquiries, and I hope you are doing well.  With the P/F option policy that was announced on Friday, Mar. 20, I am receiving inquiries from students that are in 2nd language courses, and specifically SPAN language courses.  Has it been determined yet, that students enrolled in Spring 2020, in their specific semester proficiency in a 2nd language course, that choose a P/F grade will be allowed to satisfy this specific degree requirement, if they earn P grade?   This information was not clarified in the memo to students, nor is it on the Registrar's website, any information you can confirm is greatly appreciated.  Thank You.
