Subject: [UPAC] NO ENGL Default Placements for tomorrow's Orientation Session

Dear UA Advisor's,

You might have already noticed that 64 New Start students were not enrolled in a Fall ENGL course.  This is the number of students who did not complete the FWE, but should have since they are not enrolled in ENGL during the New Start Summer Program. We did not want to issue default placements to this group. Because this population has a slightly higher rate of reporting DE credit and/or AP scores, we prefer that they complete the FWE. Our office will contact these students by email to inform them of this and our message will also include contact information should they have issues trying to add ENGL to their fall schedule. We will also follow up with this group if we find they haven't enrolled in ENGL by mid July.
