[Agvisors] report of students that could benefit from P/F grade changes

All,

Regarding students that need to change their Spring grades to pass/fail.

I was wondering if any of my students have low grades from Sp'20 that would benefit from changing to P/F.
If there is another report around, I couldn't recall it nor find it in Analytics pre-built, so I modified one in UAccess Analytics today.  I used an existing class list report and added other criteria filters for AREC majors.

I thought you might want to see this data for your students, so I added all available campuses, and included CALS and College of Engineering to the report to get primary and secondary majors, as well as primary and secondary minors.  Another report of all CALS minors with any major might be useful, or you can review your minor students from a separate report.  This report should show all CALS & Col. of Engineering majors and these students' minors, this report will not show, for example, a single primary major of SPAN BA with a NSC minor.
I am not an Analytics expert, so it is likely another more skilled user could create a cleaner or one that is more inclusive of all students report, as my attempt did not produce results when I tried to get all students and then filter for CALS majors/minors.  Also, I don't know how the CALS shared BE major is housed in UAccess, so that is why I included Co. Engineering.

You can sort the file for your majors and minors, some grades may be in progress of being changed, but I wanted to reach out to my students to make them aware of the option (again), the update to the process no longer needing instructor consent, the June 30 deadline and the link to the site for the form.  There are over 500 students listed with D and E grades on this report, and over 31,000 lines of students overall from all grading options.
The report is in the Box folder, I used an existing folder, one which we all have access to already, so that I wouldn't miss anyone when adding one by one.

It is housed in the "Agvisor Meetings" folder, titled 6 10 20 CALS class lists for P F chg needs, sort for your students and you can sort the column for the grades you want to see posted, E or all D, etc.

One of the sample email messages I sent to my students, I did one email to my D and E graded students, and not a mail merge to each specific student:

"Dear Student,

You are receiving this email because you earned an E grade in one or more courses this Spring 2020 semester.  I am asking that you submit the grade change request, an online form, to the Registrar for your E graded course(s).
At this time you can request changes to pass/fail grading and earn an F instead of an E grade, and F grades will not hit your GPA, there is no GPA calculation for pass/fail grades.   Earning an F is much better on your transcript and for your GPA, an E grade is negatively impacting your GPA.

The grade change request has changed recently and will be allowed for any student that submits the online form, instructor consent or review is not necessary.   Please consider this and submit the grade change request as soon as possible, June 30 at 5PM Tucson time is the final deadline.  Absolutely, I recommend submitting this form as soon as possible for each course you earned an E grade.  After the June 30 students will not be permitted to change the grade to pass/fail using this form.

The link above will take you to the online form, please submit it.  There is no approval necessary from instructors, it is a Registrar change only, but students must submit the form for each class they want to change from graded to pass/fail.
