Good Evening OAC,
Please note that registration for Wildcat Summer Success is closed.
If students are asking to drop the courses, there is a hold on their account (Atypical registration). You can refer them to me and I can assist.

Subject: Wildcat Summer Success

Greetings OAC -

Dani shared that there was discussion about Wildcat Summer Success in your recent meeting. I'm happy to provide more information below:

Wildcat Summer Success is a pilot program focused on refreshing skills in math, science and writing. These for-credit, online courses are designed to help first year students get refreshed in subject areas and a jump start on their first semester in college. This program was initiated by the Provost and launched quickly.

Domestic, main campus, first year admits who have signed up for/attended orientation, admitted for fall 2020 only, their family members (if we have email on files), and high school counselors received emails about the courses with the link to sign up (first year students admitted or enrolled in summer and/or New Start are excluded). The last email in this communication series goes out on Friday. We will close enrollment when classes fill or July 17.

  *   July 27-August 14
  * 3 week, 1 unit, for credit courses
  * $150 per course or $125 for 2 or more
  * financial aid is not eligible for these courses
  * once they indicate enrollment, there is a hold put on their account for summer (atypical registration) so they cannot register for summer courses outside of summer success
  * only available to first year students who have been admitted for fall and are not enrolled in summer courses, taken courses previously! Please do not share this opportunity with students outside these parameters.

Students will sign up via a slate form - and enrollment is based off first come, first served. I will be in contact with them if they select a course that is no longer available (And we will take down courses from the form once filled).
