[Agvisors] Course Section Designations

Here is some additional clarification about the abbreviations used for those who do not schedule your classes:


Classes offered during the fall and spring semesters are typically 16 week classes.  Many units across campus now split regular semesters into two 7.5 week sessions.

For ENVS, we indicate the first 7.5 session of a semester by the number 1; and the second 7.5 session by the number 2.



F1 is fall semester 1st 7.5 week session

F2 is fall semester 2nd 7.5 week session

S1 is spring semester 1st 7.5 week session

S2 is spring semester 2nd 7.5 week session

SS1 is summer summer 1st 7.5 week session

SS2 is summer semester 2nd 7.5 week session



ADP refers to the Global Direct Campus which is now active (currently 400 level sections, I believe).



Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions.  This may seem complicated at first, but as we offer more classes under different attributes we believe it will make tracking sections much more useful, efficient and consistent across units.  The biggest hurtle I foresee is simply updating the sections for implementation.  After that, the sections will be input for future Schedule of Classes roll-overs, with new sections added to the Schedule following the established protocol.
