Is this to be distributed by the CAS advisors only, or are we supposed to use this as a template to make our own in addition to the CAS syllabus?

Hello Agvisors,

Our Professional Development Committee has been working on solidifying a mission statement and syllabus that accurately represents what we do as advisors in this college. Our statement is in alignment with the NACADA values we have adopted, University goals and College goals. Ideally, this would be the first syllabus students receive as new students to acclimate them to the University in terms of what is expected of them and what to expect from us. The syllabus follows the University-provided template to stay within branding and keep consistency in the materials they receive.

We have a draft that can be found here<https://arizona.box.com/s/euux0aeb5l6r9lylalzcqg2o1om2v7h6>, that we will touch upon in our Agvisor meeting next week. Between now and Monday, if you have a chance, please look over the living document and use the "comments" tool to provide any feedback you'd like (versus making changes to the actual document). We will take your feedback and implement what we can at our next committee meeting.

Please keep in mind, we are all individual advisors with a variety of unique attributes and values. This syllabus will not necessarily reflect each individual, extensively. It will guide us in creating our own individual advising philosophies, where we will encourage you to expand on your own principals, that complement our unified mission.
