Dear CALS Student:

Please read important reminder. This Spring 2019 semester you are enrolled in at least one class you formerly took and could file for a Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO). You must file for the GRO yourself through UAccess Student Center otherwise it will not count as a GRO. This Wednesday, February 6 is the deadline to file for GRO by 11:59pm. Your college and major advisors have been reminding all students of this deadline through email or via a newsletter, and are now receiving this email individually as well to assure you do not miss out on the opportunity. After today an exception to file will not be accepted per UA Registrar Policy. Do not miss out on this and file for it by 2/6/19 by 11:59pm.

GRO
The Office of the Registrar also sent a comparable reminder.
Our records show you are repeating a course this Spring 2019 which is eligible for the Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO). If you plan to replace the original grade with the grade you will receive this Spring 2019 using GRO, then you must complete the GRO request in UAccess Student by 11:59pm February 6, 2019. With GRO, only the second grade is calculated in your grade point average. For more details: http://www.registrar.arizona.edu/academics/grade-replacement-opportunity-gro#steps

Steps for filing GRO Requests

  1. Register for the repeated course.
  2. Access the GRO tab in UAccess Student.
  3. Read and accept the GRO Policy terms.
  4. Complete the GRO request.

The following tutorial is available to guide students through the process.

Examples of why GRO requests will not be processed

  * You have already earned more than 60 units at the University of Arizona.
  * The original course is still graded as Incomplete ("I").
  * The repeat course is not equivalent to the original course (e.g. titles and/or subtitles must match).
  * You have already completed the maximum of three courses under the GRO option.
  * You have exceeded the maximum of 10 semester hours allowed under the GRO option.
  * You have already received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, thus, are ineligible for the GRO option.
  * The course was already repeated under GRO in a previous semester.
