Subject: UPAC Co-Chair Nominations

Dear Advising Community:
The time has come for the UPAC co-chair election! The two-year term for Danielle Embry and Marisa Lester ends in May.  We are seeking nominations to fill the next two-year term positions. This is a great opportunity for leadership in the advising community. You have two options for nominations:

  *   Nominate yourself
  *   Nominate a colleague
The nomination is simple and can be completed in less than two minutes at this link: https://goo.gl/forms/sh9GetrNeiZyJbpD3 Nominations will be accepted until March 30th end of business day.  General responsibilities are listed below. Please consider nominating someone. You can nominate more than one person.
We will start contacting nominees on April 1st  to ask if they want to accept their nomination. If they agree, they will be asked to attend the April 11th UPAC meeting to introduce themselves and explain why they would like to serve as a UPAC Co-Chair.
After that meeting, nominees will be given instructions on nomination statement requirements. These statements will be submitted to Nicole Gonzalez nicoledg at email.arizona.edu<mailto:nicoledg at email.arizona.edu> by April 6th.  The election will take place from April 16th - 27th. The new co-chairs will be announced at the May 9th UPAC meeting.

Co-Chair Responsibilities (general)
Time commitment is approximately 4 hours a month
MC during general UPAC meeting
Speakers - contact and confirm presenters for UPAC meetings
Agenda - finalize the agenda and send out meeting invite
Note taker - record the notes from the UPAC meeting and prepare minutes to be posted on the ARC  website and sent out to the UPAC listserv
Help coordinate and staff ARC events as needed
Plan future UPAC meetings with co-chairs
Participate in university and college committees as needed
