Greetings Agvisors,

The message below regarding enrollment appointments and shopping cart access from the Registrar’s Office may be duplicate information.

This email includes additional information on priority registration overall (thanks Katie Hughes).  There has been some back track with technology and thank you all for your patience in dealing with this. Usually the shopping cart is available as soon as the schedule of classes goes live, but that has not been the case this term. Online it lists March 22 as the date that the shopping cart and enrollment appointments will be posted on UAccess Student Center.

Fall 2018 priority registration schedule is below.  Priority registration is determined by class standing – Senior, Junior, Sophomore, Freshmen and/or student groups. Refer to your actual enrollment appointment date on March 22 to be posted on your UAccess Student Center.

During priority registration a 16-unit maximum limit will be placed on enrollment via UAccess Student<http://uaccess.arizona.edu/> for all continuing students, with the exception of students in the Honors College (19 is the maximum).  Starting April 30 all students can enroll in up to 19 units. Talk with you academic advisors on recommended course selection and load.
Class standing is determined based on completed units.  Units in progress do not count until the grade is posted in determining your class status (i.e. student has 24 units completed and is enrolled in 15 this spring term. The student would register with as a Freshmen during priority registration week).  Undergraduates need to earn the following minimum number of units to attain the next higher classification:

  *   0 units for Freshman standing
  *   30 completed units for Sophomore standing
  *   60 completed units for Junior standing
  *   90 completed units for Senior standing
Note: students transferring units from another college or university, may have their class standing/classification change (affecting their priority registration) only if the UA received their transcript by March 9, 2018. If the transcript was received after that date, the class standing will remain as is based on their current completed units.

March 26 – April 1, 2018

Athletes, Veterans plus their dependents using GI Bill® benefits, junior Honors students, senior Honors students, and Foster Care scholarship students – You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 3/26/18 through 8pm on 4/1/18.

March 26, 2018

UA Online, UA South, and Distance Students - You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 3/26/18 and will have continuous access through the first week of classes.

April 2, 2018

Medicine, pharmacy, and graduate (degree seeking and non-degree seeking) students – You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 4/2/18 and will have continuous access through the first week of classes.

April 2 - 8, 2018

Seniors, post-baccalaureate education certification students, freshman Honors students, and sophomore Honors students - You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 4/2/18 through 8pm on 4/8/18.

April 9 - 15, 2018

Juniors – You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 4/9/18 through 8pm on 4/15/18.

April 9, 2018

National Student Exchange (NSE) Students - You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 4/9/18 and will have continuous access through the first week of classes.

April 16 - 22, 2018

Sophomores - You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 4/16/18 through 8pm on 4/22/18.

April 23 - 29, 2018

Freshman - You will be able to register beginning at 6am on 4/23/18 through 8pm on 4/29/18.

April 30, 2018

Registration open to all degree seeking continuing students for registration, adds, drops, and changes.

May 2, 2018

Registration open to all degree seeking readmits for registration, adds, drops, and changes.

August 13, 2018

Registration open to all non-degree seeking undergraduate students.

Subject: [regnews] Clarification About Access to Shopping Carts

There is some confusion about Shopping Cart access for students. In my previous REGNEWS email I stated that students would have access to their shopping carts during “the week of March 19th” and that everyone would be “notified when that occurs.”

We have received some calls and emails from advisors and students thinking shopping carts would be available today, March 19th. That is not the case. It will be sometime this week, but the process of establishing enrollment and validation appointments is still in progress and is not yet complete. Please be patient. You and your students will be notified when they are available.
