Subject: [UPAC] CHEM 141 Series - Off-Sequence Offerings

Hello!

Our department has determined that we will be offering CHEM 141/143 and CHEM 142/144 fall and spring instead of the original semester-specific offering. We understand that semester-specific courses can cause a host of problems for students who are off sequence or may need to GRO a course. The off-sequence sections will be smaller, which is how we currently offer 151/152 and Organic Chemistry off sequence.

Let me know if there are any questions. I hope this alleviates some anxiety as you advise students choosing between courses during orientation.
