[Agvisors] CALS ASEMS Invite: New Freshman & Transfer Students

Hello Agvisors: As you continue to meet with/hear from students at/following Orientation, please encourage new first-year and new transfer students to apply for the CALS ASEMS program<https://asems.arizona.edu/cals-asems-program> (if applicable for them).
New CALS students are eligible to apply if they are in one of these majors and meet an additional requirement (listed below):
1. Agricultural Technology Management and Education
2. Animal Sciences
3. Environmental Sciences
4. Food Safety
5. Microbiology
6. Natural Resources
7. Nutritional Sciences
8. Plant Sciences
9. Sustainable Plant Systems
10. Veterinary Science
In addition, students must meet at least one of the following requirements:
* First generation college student (neither parent or guardian has completed a 4-year bachelor's degree
* Offered or awarded a Pell Grant
* From a group underrepresented in STEM
* Community college transfer student
All major eligible new Freshman and Transfer students received the attached CALS ASEMS invitation to their UA email address. They'll also receive additional email communication/invitations.
