Hi everyone,

Below are updates and reminders from the ISS office:


·        Each semester international students fall below full-time enrollment<https://global.arizona.edu/international-students/full-time-enrollment>, which can have severe consequences for their immigration status. This is especially common when students end up having too many fully online courses.

o   Undergraduate students must carry a total of 12 units and at least 9 units must be in-person

§  If an undergraduate international student needs to be administratively dropped from a course due to nonattendance, please contact ISS<mailto:dso at email.arizona.edu> for assistance.

o   Graduate students must carry a total of 9 units and at least 6 units must be in-person (Graduate students with assistantship can have 6 units with 3 units in-person)

·        If students have questions about the U.S. tax system or their tax filing requirements, you can direct them to the Taxes page<https://global.arizona.edu/international-students/taxes> of our website. Dates and times for ISS tax informational sessions can be found at Taxes: Resources for Tax Assistance<https://global.arizona.edu/international-students/taxes>. These sessions will not provide specific tax advice.

·        Students can now request Concurrent Enrollment<https://global.arizona.edu/international-students/full-time-enrollment-undergraduate-students> at Pima through an e-form in in UA International<https://uainternational.arizona.edu>. Your approval will only be required for sponsored students, and you will receive an email with a direct link to the e-form after your student submits the request.
