General summary: CALS students will need to wait until April 24 when open registration commences.  Seats will not be saved for non-COMM majors nor minors.  Please notify students via your department listservs.  Thanks in advance.

Greetings Nancy,

Happy beginning of Priority Registration for Fall 2017!  

Hey, I just wanted to touch base and ask if you would please send and email message reminder to all CALS Advisors and your undergrad listserv that COMM 119, PUBLIC SPEAKING will be available to register for AFTER priority registration. We have to accommodate our majors/minors first during priority reg. We remove all prerequisites on the first day of OPEN registration, April 24. We're already receiving many inquires from CALS students requesting a seat in COMM 119. We would so appreciate it if you would notify your advisors of this so they can apprise your students of the procedure. We also really appreciate it if you would send the message to your undergrad listserv that CALS students should be up early on April 24 to register ASAP if they need Public Speaking. We are only notifying your college ahead of time in order to allow your students a one day head start. The next day (April 25) we will send a notification to the rest of the colleges apprising them that 119 is now available for their students to register - so it's important your students register on the 25th!
