Hello Agvisors,

As many of you know, Jim Hunt and I have been working with a student over the past year to program in both the CALS exits survey and several CALS departments' senior exits surveys in a program called REDCap. This will allow all of the data to be compiled electronically and it will also help reduce any redundancy between CALS questions and department questions in order to minimize the burden on students. As of now, Jim plans to share survey data back with departments in the summer and possibly at the midpoint of the year if requested. An additional process may be developed in the future to make data available to departments upon request once the online surveys are implemented. As of now, online exit surveys are scheduled to launch during the upcoming fall semester.

Our student, Rachel, will continue to work on this project over the summer. She will be testing the surveys with real participants to determine if any flaws exist and she is also available to program in surveys from departments who have not had theirs entered yet.

If your department would like to participate in online senior exit survey data collection, please email me your exit survey ASAP.

The department surveys that have already been programmed include: FSHD, RCSC, NSC, and Plant Sciences.
