Greetings Agvisors,

Attached is the updated CALS student list for today's orientation.  46 attended the college meeting and 14 were 'no shows' (NS).

Preschedules will be emailed to the listed advisors by 2pm today.  If you have any questions let Kristen or I know. As a reference, Maria Bueno is out of the office today.

As a reminder, students in the Wildcat Academy (WILD - student group code in UAccess)) or Schedule for Success (S4S) cohorts will be allowed to enroll in a 10 week Tier I general education course, but not until after the 3rd week into the semester. They will not be allowed to enroll in this class now.  As Kristen's email indicated yesterday, these students will currently have 11 academic based units plus 2-4 units of remedial courses: CALS100X (2 units) for WILD students or MATH100AX (2) and SAS100AX (2 units) for the S4S students.  I bring this up in case students ask.  The system will not allow them to enroll in more than 11 academic units today.   All WILD students must concurrently complete CALS195A (1 unit) and CALS100X.   The 195A is an academic success course that counts towards graduation units.

Class instructors of the remedial courses will remind students of the opportunity to enroll in the 10 week Tier 1 general education class after the 3rd week in the semester.
