The National Hispanic Environmental Council (NHEC) is still accepting applications from students for its upcoming 15th annual, national NM Environmental STEM Institute, to be held August 13-21, in Santa Fe, NM at the Courtyard Marriott Santa Fe, and at national forests, national parks, laboratories, and other scenic sites in beautiful northern New Mexico.

To be eligible, students must be aged 17--21; be declared in a relevant environmental or natural resource major in college; have a minimum 3.0 GPA; enjoy science; and be passionate about the environment. Students are competitively selected from across the U.S. and Puerto RIco. The Institute is funded by several federal environmental agencies who are seeking top diversity students for internships, jobs, research positions, and more. If selected NHEC covers all costs to attend the NM Institute.

Please contact NHEC’s Programs Coordinator, Juan Rodriguez, at jrodriguez at nheec1.org<mailto:jrodriguez at nheec1.org> or
