Subject: [UPAC] NACADA Region 10 - Now Excepting Program Proposals, Volunteer Readers and Travel Grants
Hello from the Valley of the Sun!
Did you know that the NACADA Regional Conference will be held in Phoenix March 2017 and the NACADA National Conference will be in Phoenix Fall 2018? There is no better time for the Arizona Advising Community to get involved at the Regional and or National level. Learn more about NACADA and join here: http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/
The NACADA Region 10 Proposals and Planning Committee is currently seeking program proposals for the 2017 Regional Conference (March 20 - 22, 2017; Phoenix, AZ). The link for submissions is now available on the NACADA Region 10 website<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__click.mail.nacada.ksu.edu_-3Fqs-3Def163a991a006ceb3256c2bc81aa981624221fb0376b55cbd17f2cb210d6fca59e5612cfeaeff711&d=CwMCAg&c=AGbYxfJbXK67KfXyGqyv2Ejiz41FqQuZFk4A-1IxfAU&r=bN7m5aiUsvi3nQI1Sqqdr6TAeXbrwmBfJJ4FSZWNBP8&m=sQT70ZO4WTM7bi9yX75ZOxa9sP_83S4ulhFxh6XaPWg&s=SUi6d2EB1JyLpXIzWP7DzqaMnNwCmijKJkML5x2Ye6E&e=>. We ask that all proposals be submitted by November 15.
The theme for the 2017 NACADA Region 10 Conference is Rise. Like the Phoenix rises from her ashes, so do we. The conference planning committee invites you to develop program sessions focusing on theories and best practices used to help students rise, help yourself rise and help our profession rise.
Tips for successful submission as shared by ACPA Career Services Commission:
Program Title: Ten Word Catchy Title that Explains Purpose of the Program
Program Abstract: Concise and clear abstract giving a clear overview of the program and learning outcomes that can be used in the conference booklet to let those attending feel compelled to join your workshop
Program Outcome: Share an overarching outline for your program moving the reader from your introduction through the conclusion of the program. Highlight major points of instruction as well as how activities will be used throughout (if applicable). Give the reviewer a clear view of how your program would unfold if selected.
Not sure you want to submit a program yet? The committee is also seeking volunteers to be program proposal readers. Volunteers can expect to commit 7-8 hours after the deadline date. If you choose to volunteer you will be contacted with further instructions. If interested in this volunteer opportunity, please sign up by clicking here<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__click.mail.nacada.ksu.edu_-3Fqs-3Def163a991a006ceb5d569e288720a49994491842c93f5e243db34ee7aabad2e5b854b023493ea00e&d=CwMCAg&c=AGbYxfJbXK67KfXyGqyv2Ejiz41FqQuZFk4A-1IxfAU&r=bN7m5aiUsvi3nQI1Sqqdr6TAeXbrwmBfJJ4FSZWNBP8&m=sQT70ZO4WTM7bi9yX75ZOxa9sP_83S4ulhFxh6XaPWg&s=_5S-upXSshxK_2twljzPMiGMjDSyZinj233qk0PWZYQ&e=> before October 31.
