Greetings Agvisors,

Thank you all for assisting students regarding the Second Start policy. The attachment includes all students with separate worksheets with CALS and ONLINE students as well.  You will notice that many CALS students have filed (highlighted in yellow). The ones that qualify may not be interested since they are in good standing. I am sharing the document for your reference and follow up, if any.  Currently there is no indicator in UAccess Student Center that verifies students have filed. It is a work in progress.

The filing deadline has been extended to 9/30/16 for Fall 2016.  If I can be of any assistance please let me know.

Greetings UAAC:

Attached is an excel file which lists the students who are eligible for Second Start if they are first enrolling after a 3 year break this fall semester.  The students highlighted in yellow HAVE submitted the registration paperwork for Second Start.  Again, in the future we will find a service indicator in UAccess.  For now, we have an excel file with student highlighted :)

We have until September 30th (FINAL DEADLINE) to register students this fall in Second Start.  This is a one-time exception from the Office of the Registrar so let's take advantage of the two week window to encourage students who will benefit from this new policy to sign up.  As a reminder, SS may not be the best option for students planning to use a significant number of D grades or who have less than 30 units to complete.

At this morning's UPAC meeting I learned that 'several' students attempted to turn in the SS registration paperwork a few days after the deadline which was the day before classes began and were turned away at the Registrar's Office.  I have no way of knowing who those students are.  Let's try to find them again through this last hunt.
