[Agvisors] CALS Registration Open Lab Sign-Up

Greetings Agvisors,

Happy Friday!  In an effort to make sure that students become more familiarized with UAccess and the registration process, as well as increasing the number of students who register for next spring semester, Career and Academic Services will be hosting an open computer lab on Friday, October 28 and Monday, November 7 for all CALS students in the Forbes lobby.  The purpose of the lab is to provide assistance with the registration process (i.e. how to search for classes, put them in a shopping cart, enroll, etc.).  This event will be open to all students in CALS, but we will specifically be targeting the CALS 195c/SBS 100x students and all new freshmen and transfer students.

There are 8 time slots on two different dates, and hopefully all advisors will be able to volunteer for at least 1 one-hour time slot.  We will also be reaching out to the CALS PALS Peer Mentors for volunteers as well.

We will be sending out targeted email messages and making phone calls to select students about this event, but please advertise the event to all students when you meet with them as well.  I know many new (and continuing) students are uncomfortable navigating UAccess, and this open lab time provides a safe space to come learn and get assistance from experts!
