Please let advisors in your colleges know that we are aware of the problem with Tier I NATS equivalencies.  I appreciate comments or examples you can send to me as I will be discussing with Gail on Wednesday.  A report on the number of students impacted is in the works.  I plan to ask that an exception be made for all students who followed our advice and took any two 170s to satisfy their Tier I NATS requirement.  Once the University-Wide General Education Committee determines how these courses will be handled going forward (on their December agenda), there are ways adjustments can be made accordingly in UAccess to prevent this type of problem in the future.
