[Agvisors] NEW CALS EXIT SURVEY- Please provide feedback!

Hello Agvisors,

The CALS senior exit survey has been programmed in the RedCap data management system and is now in its final stages and is almost ready to pilot. We have also adapted the FSHD and NSC surveys to be delivered through Redcap as an extension of the CALS survey. The thought is that additional departments/majors will eventually choose to move their surveys into RedCap so that seniors can complete both surveys at one time and that all data will be pooled together so that it is more useful for everyone. If you choose to move your survey into RedCap, a trained student will do the technical aspects of programming so all you have to do will be to provide the questions and answer some basic logistical questions related to the programming along the way. We would like to launch begin transitioning to the online CALS survey in the spring if possible. The transition of individual department surveys into RedCap will take a little more time.

For now, I am asking all Agvisors to please complete the CALS survey and provide feedback by Wednesday 11/23 so that we can share it with Jim the following week: https://redcap.uahs.arizona.edu/surveys/?s=DJNFRA8LHR
This entire task should take ~20 minutes of your time.

Note:

*         You can fill out your name and even some accurate information in some sections to simulate completion of the survey by a real student.


*         (Please select either FSHD or NSC on the last question to get an idea of how your department/major specific survey would be nested within the survey if you move your online into RedCap. You do not need to complete these sections of the survey, I just want you to see how it branches out.)


After completing the survey, please reply to me with the following information:

*         Which majors do you advise for?

*         How long did it take you to complete the CALS survey?

*         Are there any questions or sections on the survey that are difficult to understand and respond to? Which are they and what problems did you identify?

*         Do you have any basic questions or concerns you have regarding adding your department/major specific survey to RedCap? Or regarding the CALS exit survey in general?
(There will be further opportunities to discuss some of these questions and concerns in depth but for now, please just share the big ones and we can go from there).
