Dear Advising Community:

The time has come for UPAC co-chair elections! The two-year term for Amy Dreweatt and Nicole Gonzalez ends in May.  We are seeking nominations to fill both of these two-year term positions. This is a great opportunity for leadership in the advising community. There are two options for nominations:

*                 Nominate yourself

*                 Nominate a colleague (or colleagues!)

The nomination process is very simple and can be completed in less than an a minute; just click on the following link:  http://goo.gl/forms/n3fjshGiHP

Nominations will be accepted until March 25th at 5pm

Nominees will be contacted on March 28th to ask if they want to accept their nomination. If they accept their nomination, nominees will be asked to complete a short statement by April 8th and attend the April 13th UPAC meeting; at the meeting each nominee will have a minute to introduce themselves and explain why they want to serve on UPAC.

Personal Statements for all nominees will be distributed to voting members of UPAC via email by April 27th and online voting will be held from April 27th  - May 6th. The two new co-chairs will be announced at the May 11th UPAC meeting.

Please consider nominating someone! You can also nominate more than one person.

UPAC co-chairs Responsibilities

*                               Time commitment is approximately 4 hours a month

*                               MC- during general UPAC meeting

*                               Speakers - contact and confirm presenters for UPAC meetings

*                               Agenda - finalize the agenda and send out meeting invite

*                               Note taker - record the notes from the UPAC meeting and prepare minutes to be posted on the ARC  website and sent out to the UPAC listserv

*                               Help coordinate and staff ARC events as needed

*                               Plan future UPAC meetings with co-chairs

*                               Participate in university and college committees as needed
