International Student Experiences Summit
Tuesday June 14, 2016
8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Student Union Memorial Center
This full-day event is designed to engage the UA community in conversation
around international student experiences and engagement at both the undergraduate
and graduate levels.

Faculty, graduate coordinators, academic advisors, enrollment managers, and student
affairs professionals are encouraged to attend as well as to submit presentation
proposals. Anticipated community interests include but are not limited to:
*         International student recruitment at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels
*         International student pipelines, building from abroad and within the U.S.
*         Effective communication with international students online, on the phone, and in person
*         Engaging international students in online programs of study
*         English proficiency and preparedness
*         Engaging international students in research
*         Unique factors related to international student retention
*         The role of faculty in the experience of international students
*         Hiring international students for on-campus jobs
*         Career readiness and job placement post-graduation
Continental breakfast, lunch, and afternoon dessert bar sponsored by the
Graduate College, Office of Undergraduate International Admissions, and
the Advising Resource Center respectively.
