Colleagues:

As you may know, we did an Academic Program Review on Advising this spring.  I appreciate assistance from those who the participated in the self-study and the on-campus review process.  Attached is a copy of the report submitted by the review team which met with representatives from all of the colleges offering undergraduate programs during the May 3 and 4 campus visit.

I have formed a working group to prepare a draft report to address advisor classification and compensation.  HR and members of the Provost Office are also reviewing advisor compensation as part of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).  As we move forward I will be forming several additional working groups to address issues raised in the AAPR process and also addressed in the report.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  I look forward to working with you and the advising community as we continue to strengthen and elevate academic advising for all students.
