Location: Arizona Smokers' Helpline (ASHLine) Health Promotion Sciences, a department of Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health
Abrams Public Health Center, Banner-University Medical Center South Campus

​Description:
Open to all majors
Primary Duties:
• Answers inbound calls to the ASHLine in a professional manner and utilizes a multimodal platform to complete a caller information form on all calls
• Conducts proactive calls to clients referred by employers and health care professionals for enrollment
• Briefly explains the array of services available to callers
• Provides brief tobacco cessation intervention on initial client contact which includes initial assessment of support needs
• Interacts with multi-cultural clients
• Actively engages all callers and handles warm transfers to ASHLine Tobacco Treatment Specialists when necessary
• Upholds public-private partnership (PPP) client protocols and policies
• Refers clients to outside resources such as support groups, cessation classes, behavioral and public health programs, or community programs
• Data entry of QuitFax referrals and client responses into the ASHLine database; Data entry of call messages

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Other Information:
• Open Monday thru Saturday – set semester schedules
• Position located off-campus
• Work-study available but not required
